Whoa its been awhile... Oops.

Sorry its be so long since my last post. These last few months have been all kinds of crazy. I think, instead of writing it all out... I will just post tons of pics and write a caption and my thoughts about each one.

'Kayso, here it goes...

One of the first things we did for third term was bald caps. It was such a pain to do, but it was all quite funny to see everyone bald. I fooled a couple of my more gullible friends with this pic... they thought I had cancer. Seriously! I would have thought the goofy look on my face would have given the game away, but apparently not.

This pic is also from term 3 (I think... it all starts to smoosh together after awhile) We had to create a fantasy character using mostly paint skills. My teacher said I had the wrong kind of fantasy. Whatever. I liked it, it rocked, and most importantly, it wasn't being graded so it didn't matter :P Justin was a good sport for letting my apply a goatee on him. I airbrushed all the makeup. I really liked how it turned out.

This was from the same day as the last pic... Justin's work on me. I think it kinda looks like a David Bowie makeup. I thought it was cool, he was frustrated with it. OH well.

I went home for summer break. It was so good to be back and visit with my family. While I was there, I did an old age makeup on my mom. It will most definitely be going in my portfolio. She is coming up to visit me in October and I am going to do a beauty makeup to make her look 10 years younger. It will all go on a page with a before photo and the young and old age makeups... Is gonna be epic.

While I was home, my parents had a big BBQ and pool party at their house for the 4th of July. We celebrated a little early because the 4th was a Sunday and I was traveling back to Vancouver that day. The flag is one my great grandpa had at his gas station in Lake Elsinore, back in the 50's. It is gorgeous.

Sister dear :) Erin and I met up in Seattle and then flew down to California together. We practically lived in the pool while I was visiting.

Term three final exam... I did a Zombie. My Model was so great to work with. I only got a B- on that makeup. Whatever.

Mmmm Brains!

My friend, Kevin. He's from the class behind ours. He's very nice guy. I used this really awesome silicon gun thing I have to create the wolfman scratches on his face. It worked really well!

This is a sculpt I did on a maquette head of an old guy. It turned out well I think :) Glad I remembered to take a picture, because I destroyed it to use the clay for something else...

This was at the beginning of term 4. Our entire class pretty much worked on a calendar that showcased yoga moves and body painting. All the proceeds go to charities that help endangered species. So, all the people in the calendar were painted to look like an endangered animal. I worked on the Grey Wolf with Susan Manning. The night of the shoot rolled around, and our model didn't show up... Luckily, one of the other artists had a friend with her that offered to step in. Megan saved our lives! She was such a trooper and did a great job with the photoshoot.

Towards the middle to end of term 4, we start making prosthetics. We begin with small stuff like individual little cuts, scars, moles, etc. then we move onto noses and then end the term with a full face prosthetic. Sarah and I are modeling our prosthetic noses. :)

My term 4 final project was Pinocchio! It was so fun to work with Devon. I really liked how mine turned out! I hope my teachers like it too... as of today we still haven't received our grades back on them yet. Grr

Devon made me into a Gremlin! She made me an entire suit that looked like gnarly nasty skin. I loved the mohawk the best :)

SO.... here we are all caught up and onto term 5! The second day of the new term we were thrown right into everything by making a full head cast.... the following pics are of that whole process. This pic is of me getting ready t be covered in alginate.

Me and Sara Huggins :) hehe I have no idea what is going on around me. It can be disconcerting to some, mostly I find it rather relaxing.

Once the alginate has been poured and smooshed into all my little cracks and crevices, the bandages are applied over the alginate to preserve the alginate, since it is a very pliable material, it needs a firm shell to keep its integrity. Leah is being silly ;)

Once I have been released from the cast, I have to prepare the cast and pour liquid plaster into the mold. This will create the statue of my head and shoulders.

The finished product! After the plaster hardens, I peel away the bandages and alginate and reveal the cast underneath... Its not perfect at this point. I still have to clean up all the little plaster warts and sand down all the rough edges.

'Kayso... Once its been cleaned up its ready to be sculpted on. I am making an elemental/sprite/imp/pixie thing of some sort... it will have little antennae as well as hand punched hairs and possibly a couple little lights. The little one is my maquette head that I made a mock up of what I wanted the full size mask to look like.

SO, that's what I have been up to lately. Hopefully I will have more progress to report on my mask soon, and I'll try to keep this updated a little better. Anywho... talk to ya later!

Drag Queens and Breaded Chicken...

Okay... One of my most favorite makeups I did during term 2 was the drag makeups. I loved the way my design turned out. I have gained a love for creating face charts (a design for makeup). Its a wonderful thing. Seriously! Who knew being prepared would be so.. so... convenient! I feel like when I have the design in mind and on paper, it goes A LOT smoother.
Anyways! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the photo shoot. My model was my friend, Erin, because I couldn't find a guy that was brave enough to play.

Okay... Now, breaded chicken.
I, unfortunately, had a little bit of a migraine on Friday so I didn't go to school. I spent all day sleeping and had PB and J for dinner. (don't worry there is a point to this...) Saturday, I slept in, then went to Sephora to replace the moisturizer I am running out of. By the time I got home, my head was buzzing and I had absolutely zero gumption to go to the grocery store. Some might say that my priorities are a little skewed, but I find nothing wrong with choosing spehora over food. ;) But, when it came time to eat dinner I had no game plan. I did have eggs, flour, nilla wafers, potatoes, frozen chicken, and green beans. I experimented...
I made a crust for the chicken using nilla wafers, garlic, salt, a little steak seasoning, and black pepper. I took the chicken and dipped in flour, then in an egg wash and then into the nilla wafer mixture. I baked it in the oven for 20 minutes and paired it with potatoes and green beans. It was a spectacular combination of flavors. It was that coveted salty and sweet flavor. It was one of the best things ever!!!

I have become a sort of a foodie and I have no idea when it happened, but there you go.

I other news... My Momma is coming to visit me at the end of June! I am so excited! I have a week off then, so we are going to go see the sights. I'm counting down the days!

That's all for now... xoxoxoxo

New Do, birthday parties and exams...

I recently got a new hair cut... it was time for a change. The hair cut I had before was cute, but as soon as my hair got past a certain length, it started to resemble a "gramma globular"... WAAAYYYY before my time!!!! So, I had my friend, Sara, cut my hair in a more edgy style. It is ledgen- wait for it...... Dairy! I have a mohawk! Its more fashion than 80's punk, but its a mohawk none the less. She also helped my color and added a few highlights only through the longer mohawk part. I love it!

Last Friday was my friend, Mehrnoush's birthday. I hosted a small party at my place. I made a beef stew (it was amazing, if I do say so myself), Sarah Elizabeth made homemade rolls and the cake and Jackie and Malin brought the veggies and dip. It was nice. Mehrnoush got to pick the movie since it was her party and she picked Pride and Prejudice. She had read the book, but had never seen the movie. It was nice to just have a quiet night in with friends.

Exams for term 2 were yesterday and today. The practical went fairly well... My model was my friend, Erin. She did great. I had to follow detailed instructions on what sorts of wounds I was to make and the type of underlying beauty makeup I was supposed to do. I had to follow the story given... which was, basically, that she had been in a bad car accident. I had to do a gash on her forehead, split lip, bruises on her left cheek bone, distressed makeup to make it look like she had been crying and crawling through mud, and a 3rd degree burn on her right hand. We were given two and a half hours to complete the makeup, I finished about a half hour early.
After the exam I helped remove the makeup and then we went to lunch at White Spot, and then we went and did a little shopping at the Pacific Centre mall. Retail therapy works wonders ;)
Today was the written exam. I felt more prepared for this exam than I did for the written one last term. I think because it wasn't as much history and stuff like who got an Oscar for what and specific makeup artist's names, I felt more confident. Especially after the exam when I could ask my classmates what answers they wrote, and my answers matched theirs for the most part. Either we're all gonna fail, or we all are awesome... guess we'll find out in a week or so.

I am SO looking forward for this time off! I really have nothing planned, except sleeping in ;)
I am a little wary about next term. We start off right away working with hair and wigs. My least favorite part of the whole makeup experience. Meh... at least it'll be over with in a couple weeks. OH! And, this term we have to write a research paper on a makeup artist. I'm not sure if we get to pick who we write about or not. The only piece of comfort is that at least I'll be researching a topic I actually like.... ha!

Well, that's it for now... TTFN: ta ta for now ;)

2nd Term and friends...

Hello everyone! Its been a long while since I've posted. The last time I did I was just coming up on my 1st term exams. Well, for an update on that... I did okay. I scored a 87% on both the written and the practical. That is the equivalent to a 'B' grade. I was a little disappointed. I know I can do better. Especially when in class I am getting an 'A' average on quizzes and I am getting the stamp of approval on my practical work. If I start slipping below a 'C' average, I have to pay back my scholarship and I really REALLY don't want to have to do that!

I guess I am feeling a little frustrated with the way things are graded here. They take a picture of the makeup you do in class and then grade your work according to the photo. A few of us in the class feel that our work is being graded harshly because the poor photo quality. The camera that the teachers aides use is kind of a crappy camera. When I look at the photos I've taken, with my nicer camera, the makeup and photo look great. But I've seen the pictures that were taken with the school camera and the photos come out looking very yellow. Several times I have had the comments made on my makeup that say, "its too yellow" or "its too orange". I feel like saying, "well duh! You take the photos with the yellow lights blaring on the models and your camera sucks, OF COURSE its gonna look yellow!!!!"

ANYways... On a happier note, we have been learning more fun things. Instead of just beauty makeups we've been learning Out of Kit Effects. A lot of people mistake Out of Kit Effects as "special effects". Special Effects are effects that include prosthetics, masks, etc. and out of kit effects are effects achieved by using things found in your kit and made right on the spot. We've been learning how to make bullet holes, broken noses, and gashes using just wax and alcohol based paints. We have also started working with gelatin which can be a quick way of making gashes and doesn't require glue. I love doing these kinds of effects. They are more interesting than making someone look pretty. hehe that sounds awful, but its true.

Enough about school...

My friend Sarah Elizabeth and I have started doing a bi-weekly dinner and movie night. Its still a pretty new tradition, but I am very excited about it. Last time, she came over to my place and we made homemade salsa per Sarah's recipe, which is absolutely fabulous!!! We also had quesadillas with chicken and we had spanish rice. The whole dinner was wonderful! We watched The Proposal. Its one of my favorites, but Sarah had never seen it before. It was such a great night.
I have also been able to get to know some of my friends from church a lot better. I went shopping with my friend Erin and Heather about a week ago. It was so great to be with them all afternoon and to get to know them better. After shopping we went back to Erin's place and ordered pizza and watched The Devil Wears Prada. It was so fun to have a girls night.

I have been trying really hard and making a greater effort to read my scriptures and be diligent in going to church. I have read my scriptures everyday for a week solid! Before, I would read them, but it was hit or miss. The entire week, I have been so happy. I have already felt so much better about everything in my life. I am going to try and finish reading the Book of Mormon by the time I move back to California in December. I know it will only benefit my life when I do.

That's pretty much it for now, I will try and post more often.
I love you all! Have a spectacular Easter holiday. And, just like Christmas, remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. :)

EXAMS!!!!

Oh MY GOOdness! My first exams are this week! I am nervous. I need to stop psyching myself out... I've had two migraines this weekend. I am currently down loading a Jeff Foxworthy video to make me laugh and get my mid off of my stresses. *fingers crossed that it works*

I am going to drive out to visit my family tomorrow. I HAVE to see Binks before they leave!!!! I miss that little pooper :) Oh and of course to see the people in my family... hehe I think I am going to introduce them to Boston Pizza. Its kinda like Canada's version of a Red Robin/Richie's Diner/Yardhouse all rolled into one. They have the tastiest yam fries :) Not sure what we'll do after that, maybe go to the zoo... or find a movie theater. I can't be out too late though... I have to make sure I get in some more studying.

OH! Yeah, Good news! I scored a 95% on my last makeup assignment!!!! I was so excited!!! I guess that is further proof that I need to stop freaking myself out... :) Plus I will be working on Lauren. Easy Peazy, lemon squeezy!

Oh... and I am not saying much, but I have been talking to a new friend via facebook and the phone. He's really cool and sounds like fun. Hopefully I can meet him after school is finished... or sooner :)

Welp, my show is just about done downloading... More soon!

I need to blow off steam...

Okay... Other than the fact that it would mean my family would be leaving, I am ready for the olympics to be over. I am tired. I can't sleep until about 2:00am every night because of the dumb show that they play every night a block from my place. AND ITS THE SAME SHOW! It doesn't change from night to night. I can now say the lines the announcer is going to say before he says them. The loud whistling and the obnoxious people are driving me nuts.

I stayed late to work on a photoshop project due this week. (It looks awesome BTW) I finally left school at 7:15 pm. So I had already been in the building for about 10 hours. I was tired, greasy, hungry and sporting a major headache. I caught the bus and all was fine there. On my way home, I stopped at a place called Red Burrito to pick up dinner. The family in front of me were 5 kinds of stupid. They didn't know what a fajita was, they didn't know what mole sauce was, so they wanted to sample... this place doesn't do samples. But I think because the server was so frustrated with them she gave them a taste of the mole sauce. (oh by the way, this place is set up like a subway. You pick what tortilla you want and then you choose meat and toppings. ) So anyway, they finally figure out what they want, keep in mind they've been standing there since before I walked in, and then go on with their "oh now whose is that?" questions... honey, if you can't remember what you ordered two seconds ago then move and let me through. Geez! The last person in their group was finally picking her toppings and the conversation went like this:

Server: Mild or spicy salsa?
Dumb girl: Yes
Server: No, mild or spicy?
Dumb girl: yes
Me to Dumb girl: She's asking if you want hot or mild salsa!
Dumb girl: Oh, um the hot stuff....(she debates in her head) yeah, the hot stuff.
Me: *rolls eyes*

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!! By the time they all figured out what they were eating and were sitting down it was about 15 mins. It took me seriously 3 mins to tell them what I wanted and then pay.

So, I get to the front gate of my building and I have to dig in the pocket of my backpack for my keys. I'm standing there riffling and these two guys walk up and ask where a certain building is... I didn't know. So I just pointed them to the left and mumbled "that way". I have no idea if I was right, but I didn't care.
I finally get in and am waiting for the elevator and these three little Mexican women walk up. Just as they do the elevator dings and opens. There was a couple inside, but they were so concerned about going first they almost knock over the couple trying tot out. When the couple had finally escaped, I just walked in and nearly pummeled one of the women. I told them "generally you wait for the person who called the elevator to get on first. " Well then they start yackity yackin' in spanish. All I could remember of spanish right then was the word for shut up. So I said it and then said "its also generally a good idea not to talk badly about a person while they're there. " The looks on their faces were priceless. I had no idea what they were saying but apparently it was about me.

I am now through with my rant. I'm gonna go continue to cool off, maybe watch a good movie and try to sleep. Wish me luck with the next two weeks.

Late night blogging...

Today was a very eventful day.
This morning we had life drawing. But instead of drawing naked people all morning, our professor took us bowling at a little place near my apartment. We were to split the class in half and one group would bowl and the other group would draw them bowling and then switch when they had bowled 10 frames. It was so fun! Their bowling only has 5 pins and a tiny ball with no holes for your fingers. It was kinda strange, but I still managed a strike :)
After that, I went home for lunch and then went to the makeup room to get ready for our afternoon assignment/exam.
I was paired up with Dana. She has an awesome face to work on! She has really good skin and her eyes are fun to put makeup on because they look good with any color. I think I did okay on the assignment. We shall see.
After school I came home for a little while and freshened up and changed into a better outfit and then when back to the school cafe.
The school hosted a karaoke party for all who wanted to go. It was fun as first. Then people *namely the actors* were getting drunk and just screaming into the microphone and then it was just annoying. The actors are annoying anyway, but give them cheap beer and you're asking for trouble. My friend Leah and I were going to do a song, but as soon as the actors would finish one song, they would just stay on stage and insist they do another. There was supposed to be an organized way for everyone to have a turn, but the guy in charge didn't have the cajones to tell the drunk actresses no.
Okay enough about that.
I left the party a little early and walked to the bus stop to catch the 20 bus back to my place. I was standing there and there was a business guy standing there waiting too. He started talking to me about the buses and asked if I had seen the 5 bus yet. I said "nope, I just got here" I felt like saying um duh... I just walked up and there haven't been any buses. He also felt it important that I know he was in finances. Yeah, not sure why. My bus pulled up and thankfully he was waiting for a different one. As I was walking toward the doors of the bus, a guy walking the opposite direction did a double take and said "wow, you're very pretty" I was kinda surprised by him, but I managed to say thank you. When I got on the bus and sat down I just smiled to myself. What a day.

I'm exhausted and I still need to wash my face... so good night!

Okay, Two things...

First, I found a tiny Mexican restaurant on the same street as my school!!!! The Carne Asada tacos were brilliant! They make their own salsas and guacamole. I think I found my new favorite place for lunch! Yay me :)

Second, I realized today as I was driving home from Cloverdale, which is a community a little past Surrey, that I have started to become adept at getting around. I no longer have this horrifying fear that I am going to get lost. I know now that if I can get myself back to any main highway that I can figure my way back home. I also have started to become less intimidated by the crazy downtown drivers. I feel accomplished.

That's it for now... Bye!

What a day!

This week in class we have been doing actual make-up instead of the instructors just talking at us. We started off the week learning facial structure. Like where the bones are and where the highlight and shadows would be placed on a face.

Here's an example of my friend, Miranda. To start, I had to feel her face and "see" where the bones in her face are. Then I painted all the white areas and left the places where there would be shadow, blank. Next I filled in the the areas that needed black and faded them into the white to try and give the face depth. It was so cool to see the entire class with skeleton faces.

The next day we learned about contouring and highlighting the face using different shades and tints of foundations. This method is primarily used in theatrical make-ups. It gives the face a very defined look. The next step after learning all this is corrective make-up. And this is basically what I do everyday on myself. I have a lot of redness in my skin as well as acne scars, so in order to make my skin look presentable, I apply foundation all over my face, followed by a concealer and then powder to set my work. I feel like, in this I have a head start in applying it to someone else.

The first day that we applied the corrective make-up on someone, my instructor said that I did a very good job. At the beginning of the course she said that she rarely will tell you that your make-up is good, because there is always room for improvement. I was screaming "WOOHOO" on the inside :) lol Today, we did more of the same, but working on different people. *I should mention that each time we work on someone we have to mix foundations and concealers by hand...* I was grouped with two others girls, because there are an odd number of people in the class. I worked on my Korean friend, Sul Khi (She goes by Tasha here). Again, our instructor said that I did a very good job. The thing that made me feel really good about the work I did, was that Sul Khi chose to wear the make-up the rest of the day. So cool!

Anyways...
At lunch today, four of us decided to walk to the Tinseltown mall and get lunch there. Its just around the corner from the school. As we were walking there, I noticed how international we were. We had, USA, Mexico, Korea, and Canada all represented. Its so great how school and sharing a common interest breaks barriers between peoples religious and political views and allows them to get to know someone on a personal level. Its really great.

Okay... that's it for now... I am so exhausted. And I have a really early morning tomorrow.
G'night!

Just a few thoughts...

Its amazing the way people will surprise you. The very first day of orientation we met everyone in our make-up class. I met a girl I thought was kinda stuck up and because of the way she dresses and presented herself, I automatically assumed that she was snobby. WELL! Let me tell you... She is really funny, very kind, easy to talk to.... not at all what I thought. So, I have learned that first impressions are definitely not the way to judge someone. Shame on me for assuming.
Anyways... Today started out kinda gnarly. I was a little late to the bus stop and had to wait longer to catch the next one. When I finally got on the bus, there was a guy and a girl blocking the walk way. There was plenty of room behind them that they could have moved back and left the walk way open, but they were too concerned about being close to the front to move. So, I pushed my way through and "accidentally" on purpose smacked the guy with my backpack as I squished my way through. I was laughing maniacally on the inside. I made sure I said "sorry" in a tone that let him know I really wasn't that sorry. Muah-ha-ha-ha :D
When I got off the bus I went into the VFS cafe to grab a water and a muffin before class. I searched through my backpack for my wallet, only to discover that I had left it at home in the bag I used yesterday while shopping for school supplies. LAME! No breakfast for me... and we only get an hour for lunch. Not enough time to catch the bus back home and the bus back to school and be able to eat. So I was resigned to just starve today. At lunch I went to the VFS cafe with all the other people in my class just to be social. I'm glad I did! When my new friend Sarah Elizabeth saw that I wasn't eating, she insisted on giving me some money to get a sandwich. I am SO grateful to her for her kindness. I am paying her back tomorrow, but still, her willingness to help me out was much appreciated.
The afternoon class was cool. Stan Edmonds, the department head for make-up, taught our class and showed us the products that are in our kit and shared some of his stories from working on film sets. We took copious amounts of notes on the insider tips he gave. I know those will prove to be helpful.
Now, I'm home, glad to be in my jammies... and ready for dinner!
More soon! Have a fantabulous day!

Where to begin?

Wow... Its been a while since I wrote last. Sorry about that. Unfortunately I can't promise that it'll get any better... I'm just a scatterbrain, and also, my school schedule is going to be getting a lot more crazy from here on in.

Anyways, I'll try to re-cap from the last time I posted.
For those of you who were wondering about my cute next door neighbor... I haven't seen him much. I am actually beginning to wonder if anyone else lives on my floor. I hear people occasionally, but never see anyone... maybe my building is haunted. hmmm

As most of you know, I went home for the Christmas holiday. I was there pretty much the whole month of December.
Erin flew up to Seattle so I would have someone to drive with me on the way back to California,(she lost her passport, otherwise, she would have flown straight to Vancouver airport). The day that we were to start our travels, I was supposed to be on the road to Seattle to pick up Erin at 7:30am because her flight was going to be landing in Seattle at 9:30am and it takes about 2 and 1/2 hours to get to Seattle from Vancouver. Well, I overslept. My alarm never went off. SO... I woke up at 8:50am and was on my way to the airport by 9:55am. It was the quickest I have EVER gotten ready and out the door in my life. I have to confess, I was so distraught at practically deserting my sister all by herself in the Seattle airport, that I was sobbing while in the shower. When I told her I was going to be really late, she just laughed at me and said not to worry, that she had a book and would just chill out. I still felt like a jerk.

After that it was smooth sailing. We started our drive on the 2nd and were home on the 3rd. We were both anxious to get home. It was nice to be with family... I take my family for granted. I need to stop doing that.

This was the first time that all of us girls were home since my parents remodeled their house. We had to get creative with where Erin and I stayed. Erin ended up sleeping in my Mom's sewing room and I had an air mattress in my Dad's office. The only pitfall was when Dad wanted to stay up late watching ESPN and I wanted to sleep. Being so close to the living room and the surround sound made ignoring the TV next to impossible.

I had fun visiting with family and seeing friends from the singles branch. There were so many friends that I wanted to see before I came back up Vancouver that I am afraid that I missed a few. I am sorry if you were one of the friends I missed...

Christmas was great. My family really tried to simplify this year. A couple years in a row, it was like we got lost in the shopping and buying random things part of it all, that we completely lost the real reason we celebrate during this time of year. We had a nice big breakfast after opening presents and then we got dressed and went to the movies. Mom wasn't feeling so well, so she stayed home, but Dad, sisters and I went to see Sherlock Holmes. It was a great movie!!!

For Christmas dinner we went to the buffet at Pechanga. A few years ago, Mom decided that she didn't like being cooped up in the kitchen all day on Christmas cooking, so we have gone out somewhere for dinner. Maybe we can change that tradition now that sisters and I are old enough and now know what we are doing in the kitchen. Maybe now it wouldn't seem like such a big chore if 4 of were all cooking and what not.
Anyways, Erin and I drove back up to Vancouver on the 29th and because of crazy weather and taking things slower than normal, we finally made it into Canada on the 31st. I felt bad for having to drive part of the day on Erin's birthday... but she said she was cool with it. When we finally got into my apartment we were both exhausted. We unloaded my car and then vegged out for a while. All she wanted to do for here birthday was stay in and watch movies. I had some stuff in the cupboards that we made for dinner and were asleep by 11:00. It wasn't the most exciting New Years Eve I've ever had, but it was nice to just be with my sister.

The next day kinda made up for the lack luster birthday. We got up and went to lunch at this really great pub called The Winking Judge. They have THE BEST french dip sandwiches I have ever had!!! Then walked across the street to go to a movie. We were seeing Avatar in 2D instead of 3D. As we got up to the ticket counter, one of the employees said that the 3:50 showing of Avatar was sold out and that the next showing at 4:25 was selling fast. However, I felt like one of those Fandango commercials... because, I had already bought tickets online the night before! Yay! Go me! After the movie, I took Erin to one of my new favorite restaurants called White Spot. SO YUMMY! We got dessert to go and went back to the apartment and watched another movie... it was a great day :)

Its been a little over a week since Erin went home. I haven't really had time to be homesick. The Monday after Erin went home, school started and has kept me very occupied. Right now, we are pretty much just having lectures on theory, and the history of cosmetics. This week we get our kits and will be starting a few more hands on things.

That's pretty much it for now. Nothing really too exciting yet. I will be sure to post pictures as soon as I have any worth posting...
I love you all! Have an awesome New Year!
